DT1
digital Theremin
The
Theremin is a remarkable musical instrument dating from
experiments being done in the early days of radio. Leon
Theremin was a Russian scientist working on the development
of radio technology during the 1920s. He realised that
the beat effect between high frequency oscillators could
be hanrnessed to produce a tone that could be influenced
by the proximity of the player to an antennae.

The
dt1 Theremin uses modern components and a unique modular
design, making it robust, reliable and able to generate
a wide variety of sounds. The unit has two antennae,
one to control pitch and other to control volume, just
as with Theremin's original units. Two models are available,
the standard model and a fully-featured version which
has the addition of modulation effects for creating
expressive sounds and effects.
