Tesla coil accessories

Choose from our range of high-quality Tesla coil accessories. Items include discharge electrodes, ground wands, wound coils, transformers, capacitors and spare parts. Standard parts are available for the SEIDAM TC-series coils as well as forming the basis for your own coil building projects. Call for details of those all too often difficult-to-obtain parts.

Discs and sphere electrodes
We can supply oblate metal disc electrodes and sphere electrodes in a range of standard sizes to suit our TC-range of Tesla coils. The disc electrodes for the TC250 and TC700 measure 120mm and 280mm in diameter respectively. A range of discharge spheres are also available. please call for options and pricing. All discharge electrodes have mountings appropriate to their SEIDAM coils (4mm connection system for the TC250, 6mm thread for the TC700) however can be easily adapted for other setups, or else specified at time of ordering.

Secondary coils
Our TC250 and TC700 secondaries are available to buy separately either as spares for the units themselves or as building blocks for your own projects. TC250 coil measures 120mm by 510mm while the TC700 coil measures 235mm by 1250mm. Collapsible coil assemblies for our TC1000 model are also available. Please call for details. The TC250 secondary is wound on plastic PVC former and the coil is electrically terminated with 4mm sockets mounted into 15mm thick nylon insert discs fitted into each end of the former. The TC700 secondary is also wound on a PVC former with nylon end inserts. The coil is terminated at one end with a 4mm socket (ground) and at the other with a 6mm threaded brass insert.

Capacitors
In most of the SEIDAM Tesla coils we use polypropylene multi-capacitor units for our high-voltage capacitors. We have tried-and-tested array designs with proven track records in the field. We can supply these capacitors to any specified capacitance and voltage rating, and have standard spare arrays designed for the TC-series coils. Please call for details.

Sabre wands
The SABRE WAND demonstrates flashover effect using a hand-held plastic rod covered with metal sections. A spectacular flashover effect is created. The wands are available in two sizes, designed for the TC250 coil and the larger models.

 

Flight cases
Protective flight cases are available for all SEIDAM Tesla coils designed to provide protection during transporation and storage. The TC250 is carried with an all-in-one flight case with a pocket large enough to hold a variety of spares and accessories. The TC700 comes in two flight cases, one piece to hold the base unit + accessories and the other to hold the secondary coil. The TC1000 flight case is an all-in-one design with a fold out ramp to aid with coil setup.

 

Transformers
As well as spare transformers for the standard SEIDAM TC-range coils, we can source and supply transformers for your own coil-building project. The standard models for TC250 and TC700 are 8kV and 10kV secondary rms voltage respectively. Potted transformers are used in the larger models while the smaller coils are metal cased oil-filled types. Please call for more details and pricing.

Accessory Kits
Accessory kits are available for all SEIDAM's Tesla coils. Demonstrations include the Faraday cage effect, flashover, the action of points and corona discharge. Specific demonstrations are available separately - please call for details. Complete kits are supplied in aluminium-faced suitcase-style flight cases and are supplied with colour booklets detailing demonstrations and background principles.
